Laurel's inaugural fashion collection, "It's Me, Eloise!" is a stunning display of her remarkable ability to capture feminine opulence.
Influenced by her mother, who worked as a librarian, Laurel developed a deep fondness for the iconic "Eloise" books from the 1960s. As a child, she would proudly flaunt her collection of tutus wherever they went, embodying the spirit of the beloved character.
When it came time for her Senior Collection, Laurel drew inspiration from this timeless figure, one that evokes envy in the hearts of all little girls. Meticulously crafting her designs, she started with a vast array of over 100 croquis sketches. Through a meticulous selection process, she carefully narrowed down her collection to five truly breathtaking evening dresses, each boasting voluminous silhouettes that exude elegance and grace.
These remarkable creations were handpicked to grace the runway at the prestigious 2023 SCAD Fashion Show, a testament to Laurel's exceptional talent and unique artistic vision. By reviving a cherished childhood character in a contemporary context, Laurel's collection pays homage to the past while embracing the future, leaving an indelible mark on the world of fashion.
